Business plan competition to hand out $1 million in cash awards for companies to do business in Michigan

The New Economy Initiative for Southeast Michigan announced a business plan competition today --the largest of its kind -- which will award $1 million in prizes for the best and brightest business plan ideas. The Accelerate Michigan Innovation Competition targets early stage businesses with proven technology and potential to generate an immediate impact on Michigan\'s economy, as well as student concepts with longer-term business viability. The University Research Corridor, comprised of the University of Michigan, Wayne State University and Michigan State University, have agreed to promote the competition within their student populations.
